This month marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Serious Sam: The First Encounter, and we’re all feeling very nostalgic, so we had to find a way to celebrate this very important event in the history of Croteam, and what better way to do this than making our original engine free under GPL
The source code is very well commented, easy to modify, and there are lots of user-generated mods out there. This version has everything you need to build your own game – or just experiment. If you’re looking to get started, just download the files from GitHub and head over toSeriousZone, it has a great community and lots of tutorials.
