Shell-Based Fur Plugin For UE4

gFur is a shell-based fur plugin for Unreal Engine 4 that comes with highly optimized physics and some unique features.

Features:

  • gFur component and gFur standard material
  • LODs
  • highly optimized physics
  • shell bias (pushing the shells to outer regions where slicing is the most visible)
  • noise for shell vertices along normal to break up the slicing (may be a stylistic choice)

Really enjoyed this plugin, though making hair splines is limited to the software that you use, as I only know of Max that can do it. Blender cannot for sure…
