Silent Hill Alleged Leak Is Said to Show 2020 Build

An insider posted a bunch of shots that are said to be the footage of the new Silent Hill game.

The rumors that Konami was planning to revive the Silent Hill franchise persisted in the past. Initially, there were talks that the reboot of the popular horror series would be financed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Kojima Productions, while in early 2021 it was said the game was developed by another "well-known Japanese developer".

Recently, Twitter user AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, who is best known for his insider information on Capcom projects, published several shots which were allegedly leaked for one of the multiple Silent Hill games. According to Dusk Golem, the footage shows a Silent Hill build from 2020, so the game may look different in its current form.

Dusk Golem mentioned the names of two characters, Anita and Maya, as well as the fact that SMS will appear in the horror. The insider noted that he received the footage from a new unspecified source, but he is confident it is reliable and therefore the shots are likely to be real. In addition, the source is said to have confirmed that several new Silent Hill projects are currently in development.

Shortly after publication, DuskGolem's shots were taken down with a DMCA strike, which actually might prove the existence of this game.
