Slow-Motion Sword Trail Effect Recreated With Three.js

Ash Thornton shared a project inspired by Blender's Ray Portal BSDF node.

As the developer explained, this effect, ideal for recreating those iconic Matrix-style bullet scenes, is not a screen-space one, meaning it remains in position even when the camera moves. It also runs entirely on the GPU and can be used with any object.

Ash then continued his experiments by applying the effect to animated objects and adding the controls to offer more customization options for the trails:
