"Sponsored Posts" and "Job Posts" on 80 Level

Sponsored Content

Developers and publishers now have a direct opportunity to share and post their own content on 80.lv.

Hi,

Seeing the “Buy Post” button on 80.lv might seem a bit scary. Will it influence the editorial policy? Will they start spamming us with countless posts about ‘user acquisition’ and ‘reliable marketing strategies for indies’ (inner shudder)? As the Editor in Chief here at 80.lv, I’m happy to say – no, this will not happen.

Our sponsored posts are there for big companies, developers, and publishers, who want to reach a very specific artistic audience. These posts are all paid, they are not cheap, so we hope this will put more pressure on the shoulders of the businesses and they will try to submit relevant and interesting content. These posts will be overseen by our admins, so you won’t be seeing content, that does not present any value for our audience.

Also, we have a possibility to post jobs! Hopefully, this will help to get more developers a nice new place at a respected studio or just a nice juicy contract to work with.

You might say: “Why do you need this? All you want to do is make money?”. Yes, 80.lv is a business and we need to make money. This is true and there’s no way of going around it. We want to send you guys more content, we want to grow and support this important technical industry.

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments.

Best,
Kirill Tokarev
