Steam Shared Its Year in Review 2020

Have a look at some of Steam’s stats and reviews of 2020.

Steam has shared its third annual Year in Review. The report revealed some stats on the users and community activities, purchases, the results of new features, and some data on the behind-the-scenes processes.
Overall review shows a positive dynamic with rapid growth in purchases and hours spent on gaming this year.

Steam also held season game events and sales that helped build higher revenue for developers and publishers on Steam.  Besides that, the team also focused on providing better discoverability of games on the website and built tools for page customization.

The new point system focuses on rewarding active community users with Steam points. Users can use them to customize their pages, add new stickers and effects. Steam is looking forward to enhancing the system so users who aren’t a part of the community could use the points, too.
As a part of new services for users, Steam has introduced subscriptions as a part of the partnership with EA. Now you can subscribe to EA Play and get unlimited access to EA’s top titles. Read the full review on the Steam website.
