Substance 3D in Blender Plugin Available in Beta

Blender artists can now use Substance 3D materials directly inside Blender.

Adobe has just announced they decided to join the Blender Foundation’s Development Fund as a corporate Gold member, but there's more. The team developed a useful plugin that will help Blender artists.

"Right now, 3D artists across the world are creating exceptional video game assets, VFX, animation, and increasingly, automotive and fashion products using Blender," wrote Adobe. "We wanted to bring the world of Substance materials to them, making it easy to access our rich and diverse library of textures and 3D assets without ever leaving the creation suite."

The Substance 3D in Blender plugin allows artists to use Substance materials (SBSAR files) in Blender. You can tweak parameters and switch presets to create assets faster. The best thing is that you can download the beta version of the Substance 3D in Blender plugin today.

This is great news considering the way licenses are setup substance could not release a plug-in. Maybe Adobe has a hand in this.
