Check out the amazing new beta of a Live Link connection with Substance Painter and Maya, Blender, MODO.

Hedgehod Labs has released a very interesting beta plugin, which serves as a Live Link connection between Substance Painter and  Maya, Blender, and MODO (more platforms are coming later).

I think this should be a default functionality of Substance Painter and that is why I’m giving it up for free, so everyone can have it. And if you want to support me to keep the development going I’ll be able to get the licenses and hardware I need to develop the rest of the implementations

The current version works for:

-MODO 10 and 11 (Default PBR,UE4 Materials,Unity Materials)

-Blender 2.79 and 2.80 (Using Principled Shader)

-Maya and Maya LT (Arnold version must have the Surface Shader to work)

The roadmap (not in any specific order and depending on access to licenses, sw and hw):

-UDIMS support

-Linux compatibility

-Vray integration (all platforms)

-3DS Max integration

-Marmoset Toolbag integration

-C4D Integration

-Houdini Integration

-Corona Integration (3DS Max)

-Octane Integration (all platforms)

-Renderman Integration (all platforms)
