Substance Painter Now Supports Painting Across UV Tiles

Adobe released a new version of Substance Painter that now lets creators paint across UV tiles.

The long-awaited feature, previously previewed at SIGGRAPH 2019, allows artists to boost performance in Substance Painter and brings more possibilities.

The new UV Tiles workflow introduced in the latest update supports higher resolutions of 3D assets letting artists paint with color, particles, generators, and more across UV tiles. In case you're working on complex materials like VFX assets, the new workflow will give you precise control with the UV Tile Mask feature.

There's more, of course. The new version introduces faster, streamlined processing. Project save time has been decreased by at least 30%, file size reduced by 20% on average, plus it speeds up export times by at least 60%.
