Studio MDHR, the one behind crazy challenging Cuphead is now working a DLC for the game called The Delicious Last Course, but it appears that the team is thinking about something bigger. Nintendo Force has interviewed (reported by Destructoid) the heads of Studio MDHR to learn about the team’s desire to make a Zelda game.

Jared Moldenhauer from the studio discusses an idea of “a sprawling Zelda title brought to life in a doting 2D hand-animated style.” Yes, they would love to make hand-painted Zelda game. “Think of all the expressiveness and life you could bring to the tribes, people, and enemies of a universe that rich! And much like Cuphead, we would get to test our design mettle coming up with screen-filling bosses of an entirely different nature.”

It’s not just their dream — we would give all the money to play such a game. You have to agree the legendary visuals of Cuphead would be a perfect match for the Zelda series. Well, it’s still just a dream like the idea of a Pokemon game in the world of Breath of the Wild, but it’s nice to dream sometimes, right?
