The devcom Art & Animation Summit: An In-Depth Talk on Houdini

Nikola Damjanov participated in the devcom Art & Animation Summit last December where he shared a talk on learning and using Houdini.

Last December, Lead Game Artist at Nordeus Nikola Damjanov had participated in the devcom Art & Animation Summit where he shared an in-depth talk on how to learn and use Houdini. In this session, Nikola guides us through several personal and commercial projects that showcase how Houdini can empower a generalist one-man army to tackle self-improvement and large-scale projects. What's more, Nikola explained how to learn this software and overcome the difficulties aspiring artists might face while learning it.

For context, Nikola is a Generalist 3D artist with over 10 years of experience. He started his higher education as an engineer but pivoted to interactive media after a couple of years. Initially, he was making models, animations, and VFX for music videos and movies. After that, Nikola ventured into architectural and product visualization for some time but then transitioned into graphics and web design.
