Hello ! I am a video game student @ILOI & I am very thankful, your speech is very motivating .

Except the dude clearly doesn't know much of anything about the 3D game pipeline. Yeah, if you're very skilled, a high poly sculpt could, certainly. But then there's retopology, UV mapping, texture baking, rigging, animating, other means of optimization once imported into the engine. Granted it wouldn't take anywhere near the production time of a AAA character (Which the High-poly sculpt took maybe 10-15 hours altogether, but the finished character took ~94 hours). And granted pokemon models aren't nearly as complex as that, but I think at least a 1-3 hours from start to finish to be a fair average expectancy of artists who know the work flow well enough. I just hate how people are so critical of artists when they clearly don't understand what goes into it.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – The Mechanical Apartheid Trailer

Developers presented new live action trailer for new Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking people. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed.
In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws. The most notable of these laws is the highly controversial “Human Restoration Act”, aimed at isolating “Augs” and keeping them away from “Naturals”.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming August 23rd, 2016 on PS4.

Good news, everyone! Crytek has made their CryENGINE available via GitHub. This step will certainly bring more improvements to the popular engine with the help of community. Read more here.

DevolverDigital & Sloclap have announced a new online game ABSOLVER, which will make you fight each other without guns. Read more here.

Ultra Ultra is focused on creating game experiences meant to transport the player into the far reaches of imagination. The developers are trying to approach this medium with originality and curiosity, awe and wonder. The debut trailer of their game ECHO certainly evokes similar emotions. More here.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced that PlayStation4  has cumulatively sold through more than 40 million units to consumers worldwide as of May 22, 2016, continuing to demonstrate the fastest-selling console in PlayStation history. PS4 software sales also remain strong, with more than 270.9 million copies sold in retail stores globally and through digital downloads on PlayStation®Store as of May 22, 2016. Great news, Sony fans!

Uncharted 4’s Sales Surpass 2.7 Million in First Week

In its first week Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End shows great results with more than 2.7 million units sold. The figure shows number copies of the game sold to customers, as opposed to shipped to retailers, and includes both physical and digital sales as of May 16. Still, sadly not as good as Uncharted 3 results, which reportedly shipped 3.8 million globally on day-one. But there was a larger audience! Congratulations on another success Naughty Dog!
