The Smartness of Level Design in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

Here's a small breakdown of clever level design aspects in Respawn's Jedi: Fallen Order.

Senior Level Designer who worked on Gears of War 5 and Rainbow Six Siege Joris Adrover has released a short breakdown of the ingenious level design elements in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a 2019 action-adventure developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. In this breakdown, Joris explained how the props were used to help players navigate, discussed the importance of landmarks, and showed how the light was used to indicate important things.

The breakdown is just 4 pictures long, so you can easily check it out in the Twitter post above. However, the tweet itself is "titled" Layout Decrypt – 01, which might indicate more examples in the near future. We highly encourage you to visit Joris' Twitter account to learn more about level design.

To the dude that said OP should proof read their work, 1. The dude who did the breakdown isn't a native English speaker, 2. He didn't write this article so if you have a critique of him you could just comment it on his tweet, but then you wouldn't be able to critique him anonymously would you, then you would have to have a profile, a "face", and your too scared of that aren't you?
