The Witcher 3 Remastered Is One of the Highest Scored Games on Metacritic

The game goes side by side with Elden Ring but offers poor performance on PC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition, the next-gen remaster of the popular title, was released on December 14 and has received both praise and criticism. At the moment, the PS5 version of the game got a 96 score from 23 critics on Metacritic, which makes it the highest-rated game of 2022 together with Elden Ring. At some point, it even surpassed its rival, but reviews are still coming, and now there is no winner.

That said, if we look at the user score, we will see another picture: users didn't seem to appreciate the remaster as much and gave it a score of 7.1. The players' opinion is justified: looks like some players experience performance issues, especially on PC. Forbes even called it "Cyberpunk 2077-launch level bad", with its stuttering, DLSS not working, problems with ray tracing and anti-aliasing, and more.

Thankfully, CD PROJEKT RED addressed the complaints and is working on fixes.
