Michael Pavlovich has shared a huge guide to creating nice sci-fi weapons in ZBrush. The tutorial features 3,5 hours of tips and tricks on various aspects of production: blockout, textures and new features of ZBrush.  

This series is a video companion to the article “ZBrush 4R8 New Features: Sci-Fi Energy Gun”, featured in InCG Magazine issue #32, compiled from my twitch stream. We break down the creation process of this weapon, from blockout to the textured in game asset, utilizing a number of new features found in ZBrush 4r8. 41 videos, almost 3.5 hours of content!
