Firstly,Amazing work !! But a doubt..for the background thing ..you mentioned of using a mesh with zero edges which helps out in covering up the repetition process..what is it?..any detailed description please.

Isotropix has recently uploaded a tutorial showing how to use point clouds built in 3rd party software as a distribution source for a Clarisse scatter. The guide uses Houdini as an example, but point clouds from any app should do the trick.   

Learn how to use point clouds out of other softwares (In this case Houdini) as support geometry in a Clarisse scatterer.
