Two New Cuphead Games Are Coming, One Even Runs on the Master System
One of the games is taking inspiration from the 80s classics.
Studio MDHR announced, in a really original way, two new Cuphead titles during the Summer Game Fest. One of the games is a hand-animated project that is still in the early stages of development.
The second one is Mighty Cuphead Adventure, which is an 8-bit action-platformer inspired by 1980s classics. This one is also in development. The studio explained that this one is being created with the technologies of the 80s and adheres to the SEGA Master System.
But the game will be compatible with modern consoles. I think it's the perfect game to have a more retro style, and it's exciting to know that we will have two new titles in the future.
The visuals of Cuphead have always been very appealing to gamers, myself included. The main game was released in 2017, and it reached 6 million copies sold by 2020. In 2022, the Delicious Last Course expansion was released.
So far, we don't know what the hand-animated game looks like or when any of the games will be released, but maybe we'll have more information at the end of the year.
