Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – Western Ghats Timelapse

When playing games today, it’s easy to forget what it takes to build game worlds. Artists spend months to build all those tiny details you don’t even notice. Here is an example of the hard work behind game development. Anthony Vaccaro shared a time-lapse video of his processes of building the Western Ghats HUB level in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy from basic designer blockmesh to the final art. 

Naughty Dog’s games have always been about the beauty of intricate worlds. Western Ghats is the largest level ever created at Naughty Dog. Anthony was in charge of creating a vast space that was not only beautiful to look at but one that was fun to drive around.
