It was at Unite 2015 Tokyo that plans were announced for Unity to support the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL. This new platform will be available to over 4 million registered Unity developers, Nintendo and Nintendo’s 3rd party developers.

There are not many details pertaining to Unity’s support for the New Nintendo 3DS but it has been revealed that there were over 50 games that utilized the Unity Engine for Nintendo’s Wii U. It was in 2012 that Unity Technologies and Nintendo entered into a partnership for Wii U development. This allowed millions of registered developers to take what existing titles they have and bring it to the platform. As part of Nintendo’s Wii U developers program, Nintendo provided Unity Pro Tools for free to digital developers.

With Unity’s powerful graphics engine and Nintendo’s revolutionary games, this will be legen-wait for it…DARY.
