The event will be held in New Orleans from October 17 to 19.
The Unreal Engine team has announced the dates of the upcoming Unreal Fest 2022. A month ago, the organizers announced that the event would be returning to a live audience in the US this fall, and now they revealed that this year's Fest will take place in New Orleans from October 17 to 20.
"Unreal Fest is back in action – and we can't wait to see you in New Orleans!," Epic Games wrote. "Join us October 17-20 for inspiring sessions, educational programs and hands-on training opportunities."
Unreal Fest is going to showcase various projects made with Epic tools, including Unreal Engine 5, MetaHuman Creator, and Twinmotion. The participants had to create a project made with UE5 or other Epic products that would illustrate what they were able to achieve with UE and what hurdles they managed to overcome.
The submissions had to fit in with one of the following themes: Industry Innovation (participants had to showcase exciting advancements that are pushing creativity forward), Interconnected Ecosystem (showcasing how the use of multiple tools within the Epic ecosystem allows participants, their company, or studio to amplify creativity), and Cross-Media Storytelling (participants had to demonstrate a holistic, metaverse-minded approach to storytelling).
Speaker submissions are currently closed and preparations for the Fest are now underway. Epic Games said that it will share more new updates on the event in the near future.
