Valve Is Fired Up About Creating More Half-Life Games

The Half-Life: Alyx team doesn't want to take a break.

It appears that the developers of Half-Life: Alyx consider developing more tiles in the legendary series. During a Zoom call with Phil Spencer and Geoff Keighley, Gabe Newell said that the developers of the VR title are excited about working on more Half-Life games.

Newell thinks that Half-Life: Alyx got everybody excited and their team is very productive. He noted that they don't want to take a break, but rather develop more within the Half-Life franchise and VR.

Newell also pointed out that Valve's approach is to keep things quiet until they are sure the product is right, talking about previously-canceled in the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead series. He then added that because of the coronavirus pandemic, productivity "is only 50-75% of what it would be," so we'll have to wait for more news on their projects.
