A job listing found on Valve's website suggests the company is working on a new VR headset. The studio is looking for "versatile, self-directed software engineers in computer vision who can help [it] achieve the next steps in VR."
The engineer will prototype, ship, and support consumer gaming products leveraging visual-inertial tracking (HMD and controllers), camera passthrough, environment understanding, eye tracking, and hand tracking.
Valve's VR headset Index was released in 2019, so it might be time for a new one, to compete withdeices like PlayStation VR2.
