In the interview with the LA Times, The co-founder of Respawn Entertainment shared that he will head up the LA-based DICE studio in order to provide more content for Electronic Arts. His studio, Respawn, Vince's studio that he founded together with Jason West,  is famous for titles like Titanfall and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In 2017, the studio was acquired by Electronic Arts. Now, he will lead the LA studio and help develop an original game.

The new shift didn't happen out of blue. When talking about future plans of EA, new chief studio officer Laura Meyle stated that she is more focused on the EA portfolio. With Vince taking over the DICE studio, she expects the studio to become a full studio with their own games, and Vince will help the team work creatively.

Vince also mentioned in the interview that the studio will be rebranded. As for now, he sees that the DICE is mostly known as a support team of DICE Stockholm, and it needs a new image. In order to change the image and to be seen as a place, where you can create, the rebranding phase is essential.
