Some of the most famous universes are coming to the fantasy card game.
Warhammer 40,000 and J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth are officially coming to Magic: The Gathering, one of the world's most popular fantasy card games. The team of Magic: The Gathering presented Universes Beyond, a new premium card set for the game featuring some of the biggest storytelling brands.
"Universes Beyond came about thanks to a simple thought," said the team, "if we can expand our story beyond the game system to things like comics, novels, and other games, then surely we can expand the game system to let players explore worlds outside of the worlds of Magic."
The company also noted that the Universes Beyond products will generally be sold in all Magic channels, so they will not be strictly Secret Lair products.
