I have being working in the AAA industry for tha last 3 years and the crunch is what is forcing me to find something else to do in life even if I love 3d. Some places may be more respectful with their employees but in my experience the crunch is even calculated in advance cause they know the workers will accept that. Some people is very passionate and don´t mind to do it and that is fine but a lot of people have families and they want to build a healthy environment with them or other goals outside the working ours. Not to mention non-payed overtime and other abuses I faced. Hope this industry fixs this problem.

VRFocus announced the Virtual Reality Challenge (VRC), which is said to feature the largest VR Game Jam ever held in the UK. The event will take place at Google’s Campus London on September 3-4 with two days Jam, where participants will create new Unreal Engine 4-powered VR games within 24 hours.
Epic Games and VRFocus will give participants the opportunity to win HTC Vive Pre developer kits, which Valve is providing as part of Epic’s Unreal Dev Grants program.
Mentors from companies like Climax Studios, CherryPop Games and Supermassive Games, will be there to offer advice and guidance to participants.
On Saturday, VRFocus will present the jam’s main theme for development team of three member to build their VR experiences around this one specific idea. Then on Sunday, judges will choose the best team and Epic Games will award each of the member of this team with an HTC Vive.
