XIII Remake Got a New Gameplay Trailer

Tower Five improved the game's AI and graphics.

Tower Five released a trailer for the first-person shooter XIII's remake. The creators seem to have worked on the game's graphics and AI as well as fixed some of the issues players had with the version of the game released in 2020.

The studio promised improved visual style, amended sound, online multiplayer (up to 13 people), a reworked interface, and better AI. Additionally, next-gen consoles will benefit from a 60 fps mode.

XIII was first released in 2003 and is loosely based on the first five volumes of the 1984 graphic novel series. It was generally well-received, which can't be said about the 2020 remake of the game: it got a lot of hate, mostly for its art style and bugs.

"We are fully aware and terribly sorry that the initial launch of XIII Remake on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC did not reach players’ expected quality standards," said Stéphane Longeard, CEO of the game's publisher Microids. "We really wanted to take the time to fix the game and offer owners of XIII Remake a free update paying the best possible tribute to the original game we all love."

The update from Tower Five will be available on September 13 for all platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
