Zack Snyder Says a "Ridiculous Scale" RPG Set in the Rebel Moon Universe Is in Development

It's unclear what studio is working on the project.

Zack Snyder, known for movies such as 300 and the extended "Snyder Cut" of Justice League, hinted that he is developing a role-playing game that takes place in the universe of his upcoming Netflix science-fiction film, Rebel Moon.

Speaking at The Nerd Queens podcast, the director shared that he has always wanted to participate in the development of an RPG, and after he started to work on the Rebel Moon universe he finally had the chance to do so.

Apart from the Rebel Moon connection, Snyder neither disclosed much additional information nor specified the type of RPG it would be, although it appears to be a video game. However, he did indicate that the game will boast a "ridiculous scale" and will not be a "casual" experience.

"The one thing that I’m really having a really good time with is – and I don’t even know if I’m supposed to talk about it – this RPG that we’re doing that is just literally insane, and so immersive, and so intense, and so huge, and like, we talked about how we would do the game and I was like, we just said 'let’s go,'" Snyder said.

According to the director, he proposed the game concept to an undisclosed developer and suggested that the project is still in its early stages of development.

Rebel Moon is a science fiction universe created by Zack Snyder which is set to have at least two films released on Netflix. The first movie is scheduled for release in December.
