Games Gathering 2017, the largest conference of game developers in Ukraine, will be held December 9-10 in Kiev, in the International Exhibition Center. This year, Games Gathering grows on a truly grand scale! The number of lectures has doubled – now there are more than 70 of them. Twice as many indie teams will have a chance to find investors or partners. And the main bonus of the event – there will be two parties instead of one!
During 2 days of the conference, lecturers from leading Ukrainian and foreign companies will read more than 70 lectures on the main areas of the game industry: game design, programming, management, art, marketing, VFX, VR, QA and others. All the lecturers have extensive experience in game development. They have participated in the creation of successful projects for companies such as Wargaming, CD Project RED, Crytek, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Unity, 4A Games, King, Red Beat, Playrix, iLogos, Murka, etc.
Compared to last year, the number of participants in Indie Blast has doubled, which indicates a growing interest in making games among enthusiasts. This year, there will be more than 50 teams of indie developers represented at the event. They will be able to demonstrate their games to all visitors and to find their potential publisher. Also, Epic will provide 10 branded stands for those participants who make their project on the Unreal Engine 4. In addition, all projects will take part in competitions, and the winners will receive prizes from our partners and sponsors.
And, of course, the conference will not do without virtual reality. A rapidly developing direction is increasingly used in many areas and games are no exception. With us, you can immerse yourself in the worlds created by our partners and get first-hand information about new developments.
A unique feature of the conference – 6 game battles, which were highly appreciated by visitors to Games Gathering 2016. Game battles are 3 hour competitions in game design and art, where participants make their own decisions in the assigned tasks. Each battle is conducted by a professional in his field. Winners of the Battle will receive valuable prizes. In addition, the artists will be able to try their hand at the demo zone of Novella, the official distributor of Wacom.
We expect at least 1200 people from more than 160 Ukrainian and foreign game development companies will participate in Games Gathering 2017.
The annual party of Ukrainian developers, which traditionally takes place in Kiev, will again take place as part of Games Gathering 2017, December 9. Meeting in an informal setting is an excellent chance to communicate with old friends, make new acquaintances and strengthen business relationships. And Epic plans to hold its secret party on December 8, the day before the start of the conference.
