We're building the combat for a demo of KAREN, a third-person action comedy where you play as Karen destroying a mall. 

 

Our reveal trailer earned 45K Steam wishlists and features on CBS News, Polygon, and TMZ.

Status: Karen model done, destruction sim working, Chaos Chemistry prototype running, vertical slice in progress. 

 

The smashing is fun. The fighting isn't yet. Make it as good as the destruction. 

 

We're looking for someone to support our gameplay designer on the demo build, focused on enemy NPCs and one boss fight. You'd design and prototype the encounter rhythms, enemy behaviors, and boss mechanics — game feel, hitstop, shake, cancels included. 

 

Looking for: 

- Lives in Unreal Blueprints, can prototype solo 

- Shipped or seriously prototyped action / character-action combat 

- Comedy instincts. The slap has to be funny, not just hit. 

- Available for live playtests 

 

Contract, rate negotiable, start ASAP.
