A New Blender Solution Lets You Untile Textures Without Breaking Normal Maps

Jesse Miettinen presented "the bestest" tools for untiling 3D textures.

Jesse Miettinen, a 3D Blender Artist also known as Blenderesse, continues his series of robust add-ons by presenting Untilify, the "bestest" solution for untiling 3D texture coordinates on both even and uneven terrain.

Compatible with Blender 4.0, the tool stands out by featuring a Normal Map correction node, allowing the user to rotate the UV coordinates without breaking Normal Maps and having to fix them afterward. The add-on comes with several textures, courtesy of Poly Haven, and is available for just $1 via Jesse's Gumroad page.

Previously, Jesse also revealed a stunning castle generator, a freezing effect, a tool for scattering pigeons, a procedural hazmat tent simulation, a wind-blown tree, a Geometry Nodes-powered bridge generator that can adapt to the landscape, a cool-looking wave simulation, a powerful generator that can create entire cities, an incredible melting effect, a 2D fluid simulation, a procedural water smudge mask generator, and more. You can find all these projects and more by visiting the artist's Twitter page.
