The new studio will be based in Kyiv and offer support to AAA developers in the country.
Game development and studio services agency Amber revealed it is launching a new studio in Ukraine. The office headed up by general manager Matthew Manolovits, who joins from Ubisoft Odesa, will be located in Kyiv.
The studio will focus on building partnerships for AAA game development in the country. The Ukrainian-based studios include 4A Games (the developer behind Metro), GSC Game World (Stalker's developer), and Frogwares (the studio known for its Sherlock Holmes games).
Amber Ukrain is currently recruiting people probably suggesting a remote and in-office hybrid work model as they stated that relocation was not required. However, the company mainly focuses on looking for employees from Kyiv, Odesa, or Lviv.

Apart from the new Kyiv studio, the agency comprises eleven studios over the world and now has 900 employees working across various operations.
Amber is still calculating its full-year financial results for 2021, however, the company expects to report a turnover of $30 million, which would be a 51% increase compared to 2020.
