For those waiting to try Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders, you will have a chance to test the game via a closed alpha later this month.
The development team announced that on June 29 their PvPvE extraction shooter will get its first test – players can now sign up on Steam to participate in the alpha. Embark Studios also shared a new trailer with new pre-alpha gameplay bits.
The game was initially revealed at The Game Awards in 2021 as a co-op PvE experience where you would fight against alien invaders. Then, the team decided to first focus on its other game, The Finals, and delay ARC Raiders. Last month, the studio announced the decision to turn the project into a PvP-focused extraction experience where players compete with each other for resources but also deal with alien machines.
The release date is currently unknown but the game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
