Blizzard opened the position of VP/head of culture shortly after being at the center of a work environment scandal. The company was criticized for discrimination and persistent harassing behavior in the workplace which led to several lawsuits and criticism of Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick who reportedly knew about the situation for years.
