The TV show will be co-created by Bloober Team and Platige Image and supervised by the Witcher Netflix series executive producer Tomasz Bagiński.
Bloober Team has announced that its psychological horror game, The Medium, is getting a TV series adaptation. The show will be created in cooperation with computer graphics and 3D animation company Platige Image with the Witcher Netflix series executive producer Tomasz Bagiński and Bloober Team president Piotr Babieno supervising the production.
"Both the film industry and the video game industry are close to my heart," Babieno said. "I am very happy that there is finally an opportunity to bring them both together. [...] The whole team working on the concept of the series felt they were working on something special, we hope that this enthusiasm will be visible in the quality of the series."
Bloober Team and Platige Image will develop a series together, sharing the work budget equally. The creators didn't specify how they plan to distribute the project, nor did they reveal the project's possible cast, plot, or release date.
For those unaware, The Medium is a 2021's psychological horror game that takes place in post-communist Poland. The game follows a spirit medium named Marianne who helps troubled souls seek final respite.
Playing as Marianne, you use your psychic abilities to solve various puzzles, uncover some deeply disturbing secrets, and survive encounters with The Maw, a monstrous creature who spends its time stalking Marianne trying to possess her body as it believes she is powerful enough to contain its spirit.
