With improved integration with other ArcGIS products, CityEngine 2024 users can modify the elevation or terrain of a plan directly within ArcGIS Urban. When importing an ArcGIS Urban Plan into CityEngine, these layers are automatically imported as distinct terrain layers, each corresponding to a scenario.
You can utilize CityEngine's user-friendly terrain editing tools to adjust the terrain to align precisely with your chosen scenario. Once the terrain editing is complete, you can seamlessly upload the modified terrain back to your ArcGIS Urban scenario.
Additionally, with the new Share as Web Scenes feature, you can now easily share, explore, and organize multiple scenarios for viewing online via ArcGIS Online's Scene Viewer.
CityEngine 2024 also brings a number of workflow improvements, such as guides, which become scene objects that belong to guide layers. It also offers users a new, extensive collection of high-quality materials that can be used to add texture to buildings, open spaces such as gardens, and more.
