These tips from Peter Tran will help you set up lights in a smart way.
Peter Tran has recently shared a quick relighting of a UE4-scene made by Meshingun Studio and provided some lighting tips. The artist wrote that the lighting is 100% dynamic with no RTX or real-time GI. He used default vanilla UE4 with distance field shadows and moveable lights.
He also said that he "painted" all the bounce lights with point lights which is not performance friendly but didn't matter in this case.
Peter has shared a bunch of other tricks and even touched composition in lighting. He noted that approaching composition is similar to painting. You can see how Tran highlighted different areas to achieve the desired balance.
