Fortnite Raises $36M For Ukraine In 24 Hours

24 hours after the launch of the charity campaign, Epic announced that it has raised $36 million.

Previously, Epic Games, in collaboration with Xbox, launched a new charity campaign to support the people of Ukraine. From March 20, 2022, through April 3, 2022, all Fortnite proceeds will be committed to humanitarian relief organizations, namely Direct Relief, UNICEF, UNWFP, and UNHCR – the UN Refugee Agency. The company has already announced that the campaign has raised $36 million.

"All real-money Fortnite purchases made between March 20, 2022, and April 3, 2022, will be distributed," commented the Fortnite team. "This includes V-Buck packs, Fortnite Crew, gifted Battle Passes, and cosmetic packs such as the Voidlander Pack sold for real money. Retail store purchases of in-game cosmetics and V-Bucks cards will also be included if they are redeemed in-game during this window."

The company also adds that they will not be waiting for the actual funds to come in from their platform and payment partners due to the possibility of time delays. "As transactions are reported, we’ll log them and send the funds to the humanitarian relief organizations within days," said the team.
