How Unreal Blueprint Can Be Useful for Artists

The Unreal Engine team explained how Blueprint Visual Scripting system can be useful for artists.

You may know Blueprint as a gameplay scripting system. While it is true, the system is based on the concept of using a node-based interface to create gameplay elements from within Unreal Editor, which makes it accessible and easy to use not only for programmers but also for people without coding knowledge.

The company invites artists to join Chris Murphy as he takes them "through a lightning tour of the fundamentals of Blueprint and how to leverage it as an artist." In the video, Murphy shows how to build dynamic actors, script-level cinematics, dynamic splines, and develop some tools to speed up the workflow.

Unreal Engine promises that Blueprints – objects defined using Blueprint – are easily leveraged by all game development disciplines, which makes it unnecessary to know how to code.

If you know the art fundamentals and are looking to take the next step, watch the video, check out how you can use Blueprint, and join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
