Instead Miyamoto and Takeda have new job titles – Creative Fellow and Technology Fellow (director). The company still has a couple of open positions left: heads of the Entertainment Analysis & Development division and the Integrated Research & Development division.
Some sources say that former Software Planning & Development boss Shinya Takahashi will be appointed the head of the Entertainment Planning & Development division. However, this information is still not confirmed.
Nintendo right now is in a very tight situation. The company lacks sales, its Wii U console was not a success and there’s still much to be done in terms of sales increase. Nintendo is currently working on mobile games and is looking at new opportunities.
