Paradox's Life by You Got Another Delay, No New Release Date in Sight

The best way to keep a promise is not to promise.

The highly anticipated life simulation game, Life by You, which aims to challenge the dominance of The Sims, has experienced yet another delay in its release. This time, however, game developer Paradox has not provided a new release date.

First announced in March 2023 by Paradox's Tectonic studio, Life by You was initially scheduled for an early access launch in September of that year. The release was later postponed to March 2024 to enhance various game elements. In February, the launch was delayed, again, for a second time to June 4, with the aim to refine visuals and improve gameplay further.

However, two weeks before the planned launch date, Paradox announced a third delay. Mattias Lilja, the deputy CEO of Paradox Interactive, explained in a statement that "additional development time is needed."

Lilja's update reads:

" While we would have preferred to commit to a new release window, we believe it is more prudent to hold off while we plan ahead, rather than committing to a new date that we cannot be certain to meet."
