Chaos Czech shared a preview of the new sky model that is coming to Corona Renderer 6 for 3ds Max. The update will also add adaptive light sampling, support for Phoenix FD’s foam system, and more.
The biggest thing is the new sky model that provides great results. Please note that it's a WIP feature, and the team plans to add support for altitude and atmospheric fog in the next updates in May or June.
The update will also support foam created by Phoenix FD, Chaos Group’s fluid simulation toolkit. As for WIP tools, the team is working on a new secondary light solver with a 4K resolution cache that will replace the old UHD cache. Also, they will add a new bloom and glare system, plus a new color picker.
The team also promises better memory handling for textures, a reduction in the time taken to load a new scene, and more.
