LogInPrytania Media revealed they're launching two new AAA development studios: Fang & Claw and India-based Dawon Entertainment.
The two new teams will join sister studios, Possibility Space and Crop Circle Games.
According to the company's press release, the Fang & Claw team will be managed by studio head Jeffrey Gaffney, co-founder of Turbine Entertainment and former senior director at Blizzard. The new studio is said to be making "the next evolution of fantasy combat sports" – they even managed to secure a $3 million investment from Transcend Fund.
Among other team members, the studio hired:
- Jeremy Gaffney, Studio Head (co-founder of Turbine Entertainment, Sr Director at Blizzard Entertainment)
- Fleur Marty, Executive Producer (Executive Producer at WB Games Montreal)
- Chris Venturini, Creative Director (Animation Director at ArenaNet, Gameplay Lead at Undead Labs)
- Horia Dociu, Art Director (Studio Art Director at 343 Industries and Sucker Punch Productions)
- Ben Scott, Technical Director (Technical Director and CTO of Undead Labs)
As for the Dawon Entertainment team, it will become Prytania’s first emerging-markets studio. Whitney Beltrán will be managing the studio as studio director. Prytania says the team is developing culturally focused games based on Indian folklore, art, music, and tech.
