"Players only remember best games rather than OK games."
TMTPOST has recently published a new interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan. First, Ryan noted that the core of the PlayStation experience is emotion. The leader noted that a best game can arouse certain emotions of the players and make them feel excited or feel sad, for example.
Ryan also noted that before acquiring a studio, Sony needs a working relationship with a team that has been forming for several years prior to an acquisition to have a deep understanding of a team.
Among other things, Ryan also noted that one of the PlayStation's core strengths is the "ability to develop games and demonstrate platform advantages. Therefore, people like me need to keep those two things in mind and realize that it is better to wait and have a great game than to rush and have a game that is okay or quite good. Players only remember best games rather than OK games."
