Google also plans to use an 85/15 split on individual game sales.
Google announced they plan to launch a new revenue share model for its Stadia Pro subscription to give partnered developers an additional source of income each month. The model, set to launch by the end of July, will give a developer of any title included in Stadia Pro a share of the money generated by the service.
The news was revealed at a Stadia keynote during Google for Games Summit. The new plan was described as an "industry-leading" share.
70% of all monthly revenue generated by the Pro subscription will be given to partners based upon the number of session days played by users.
Here are the rules: if a user plays a Stadia Pro title once on one day and once the next it counts as two session days, but if a user plays two times once a day it counts as one session per day.
They also decided to use a new split for titles sold individually in the Stadia Store. The company will be now giving 85% of sales revenue to developers for any titles released from October 1. The rule applies to the first $3 million generated.
