Ubisoft shared that the Montreal studio veteran Sandra Warren has been named the new vice president and executive producer of the Far Cry IP. Ubisoft hopes that the new manager will effectively lead the entire brand with teams located around the world. "With her proven industry experience and respected position within the organization, she will collaborate with the team responsible for brand portfolio management, the editorial department, and the international production team," Ubisoft wrote.

"Sandra is an exemplary leader who seamlessly combines her experience in video game production with a global perspective on the brand," Ubisoft Montreal GM Christophe Derennes commented. "Her profound understanding of the studio dynamics and her innate ability to foster collaborative relationships make her an asset to the team. We invite the community to join us in congratulating her and wishing her the best in this new role."

In other Far Cry news, it was recently announced that another Ubisoft veteran Drew Holmes is now responsible for the development of the Far Cry franchise. Before his promotion, Holmes acted as the story lead for Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn. Previously, he worked as the lead writer on BioShock Infinite at Irrational Games and contributed to the first three chapters in the Saints Row series at Volition. Learn more here
