Unreal-Powered Horror ILL Gets the First Gameplay Trailer

Clout Games released the first gameplay trailer of the studio's upcoming debut horror adventure ILL.

Clout Games have recently released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming ILL – a first-person adventure game inspired by old horror movies. The trailer displays the gloomy atmosphere, messy, spine-chilling environment, and realistic physical movement. It also reveals the voice behind the character – an actor Nick Apostolides best known for his voice-over work on Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 remake.

ILL was announced in January 2021, when the team shared a couple of concept trailers for the game showing a bit of a plot and gameplay. At that time, the developers' team was working on a demo and looking for investment and publishing services.

"Now we are making a demo, and at the same time, we are negotiating with the investors. Patreon is needed to cover minor expenses, such as a lawyer, etc. So far, there are no particular difficulties with ILL, so we are doing just fine," told the Clout Games developers.

The Clout Games team also told us about the project being developed in Unreal. They shared how they'd created the horror atmosphere, where the idea and inspiration had come from, and talked a little about the mechanic of the game.

"Old horror movies from childhood, games, comics – inspiration comes from that, like for everyone else. These are things that are hard not to fall in love with," say the developers. You can check out the interview with the team here.
