Xbox CFO Thinks Supply Chain Issues Will Continue Through 2022

Manufacturers are facing several issues according to the manager.

Xbox CFO Tim Stuart reportedly said supply chain issues that have been damaging the games market are likely to continue throughout the year. In an investor call hosted by financial services company Baird, Xbox managed noted that he expected "that the supply chain environment could remain rocky through 2022 and the holiday season."

Stuart also added that the chain is currently impacted by lockdowns in China. There are two issues for manufacturers, according to Stuart: limited parts and "elevated logistics pricing pressuring margins."

Supply chain issues have been damaging the industry since the beginning of the COVID crisis. Previously, Sony reduced its PlayStation 5 forecast to 18 million units for the next financial year because of the ongoing shortage of semiconductors and other needed components.
