1.8 million units sold go to Persona 5 Royal while Persona 4 Golden exceeded a million copies sold.
The biggest success in the entire Persona game family is Persona 5 released in 2016. Together with its enhanced 2019 version Persona 5 Royal, it sold a total of 5 million copies. Then comes Persona 5 Strikers, the newest addition to the franchise, which sold 1.5 million units.
A reworked PC Version of the 2008 Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, turned out to be a major success and sold a million copies since its release in 2020. The game is a big hit among Persona fans and has an impressive amount of positive reviews. Steam describes the users' reception of the game as "Overwhelmingly Positive" based on over 41,000 reviews.
Interestingly, the Persona 5 soundtrack received tons of love from the fans of the franchise as well. It sold over 100K copies and has millions of streams on Spotify. The composer behind the soundtrack for Persona 5 is Shoji Meguro who has been working on creating music for the franchise since the 1990s.
