4th Baldur's Gate 3 Hotfix Rolled Back – Recent Save Files Are Currently Unavailable

The studio is working hard on updating the hotfix to allow players to continue the game.

Larian has recently revealed their roadmap for Baldur's Gate 3 – the studio planned two big patches, but first, they decided to roll out one more fourth hotfix.

On August 16, Larian released this final hotfix before the first patch which was meant to address some issues found Baldur's Gate 3. However, due to an error in the build, some players experienced crashes which resulted in the studio rolling back the update.

The problem is that the rollback did not happen immediately so many players had already played for several hours after the hotfix was released. Now, those players who tested the fourth hotfix, can't load their save files.

Larian is working hard to release the fixed version of the fourth hotfix to allow players to load their inaccessible saves again. Right now, the game shows the saves, but they cannot be selected on the load screen.

Players also have the option to load saves made in versions prior to the fourth hotfix without any issues – this means you won't have a problem if you have not launched the game after the update was released.
