As a Senior Technical Artist, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to Mindwalk's growing team of TAs, solving complex technical problems, overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, and ensuring that client’s quality standards are met.

Requirements:

  • At least 20 years of experience in the game, animation, or VFX industry, with at least 10 years experience in games, fulfilling a technical role
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Python
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, such as the command line, batch scripting & general troubleshooting. Familiarity with how drivers, networking, the registry, and services work
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard software and tools, such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance 3D Designer/Painter, and Unity/Unreal Engine
  • Experience with art production pipelines and workflows for game development
  • Experience with version control systems, such as P4, Git, or SVN
  • Experience with multiple game genres and platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluent in English

Technical Artist at Mindwalk Studios

As a technical artist, you will develop tools and scripts to aid art asset creation and optimization. You will also help artists prepare art assets for game systems and engines to ensure that clients’ technical requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of working experience as a technical artist (or industry equivalent) in programming/scripting tools.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, ideally, but not necessarily in the video game industry.
  • A strong ability to think creatively and overcome technical challenges.

As a Senior UI Technical Artist at Atomic Arcade, you'll partner with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize player feedback and immersion in HUD and menus, while producing visual and technical designs that enhance the overall player experience. Within a small, collaborative team of developers, you'll craft wireframes, establish UI style with Photoshop or Illustrator comps, explore VFX and animation with After Effects, and primarily, develop in Unreal to prototype, implement, and iterate based on team member feedback.
